How Can You Stick Together When You're About to Be Separated Forever?
Tree Story offers key lessons on life, love, and change when a family of trees is harvested, taken to a lumber mill, and made into new products. The acclaimed children's book by, Jere Silber is a labor of love and a reflection of timeless wisdom for children of all ages, this touching story of change and perspective follows two families of trees, the Sycamores and the Birches, and the forest they live in.
"I loved the book. I found it touched on so many lessons … I especially liked that when the situation seemed grim, there was always positive energy surrounding it. That is how life should be lived. Nothing really has an end. There is rebirth and a continuation of everything around us. Family roots, neighborly love, adapting to change, a positive attitude, accepting fate, and preserving and taking care of our natural resources … The most valuable lesson woven between the lines is Love.” ~ Kathy Kontos Pait
I will forever be grateful for this very special review by Kathy Kontos Pait. Sadly, Ms. Pait passed away shortly after writing it. May her memory Forever be a Blessing.

Jere Silber's path to writing his first children's book, "Tree Story", was reignited on October 29, 2014, when his daughter Morgan welcomed her first child, Skylar.
In that moment, inspiration surged anew. Silber recognized it was time to craft another book for children, one he could share with Skylar, just as he had for her mother years before.
Thus, Jere Silber created "Up in the Sky", a heartfelt tribute not only to his granddaughter but to all children everywhere.

"Where Books Learn” is set in a magical library, the story unfolds each night after the library doors have closed. As the moonlight spills through the windows, the books come to life, gathering to share their knowledge, stories, and wisdom with one another. In this enchanting world, the books discover that the true magic of learning happens not just within their pages, but through the connections they make with each other. “Where Books Learn” is a heartwarming tale that celebrates the power of knowledge, friendship, and the joy of learning together.
As we enter the later stages of our lives, we often find that the memories we created many years earlier become the cherished highlights of our existence. These recollections, which once seemed ordinary or fleeting, gradually take on a new significance. They become the vivid, treasured moments that define the essence of who we are and the journey we have traveled. In this reflection, we come to appreciate the profound impact that our past experiences have had in shaping our lives, and we find comfort and meaning in the tapestry of memories that now form the rich and enduring fabric of our life story.
We will announce the release date of "When You Are the Last One Standing" soon.
INTRODUCTION
The whispers of memories linger in the air, echoing the laughter, the tears, and the shared dreams of those who once stood beside you. Yet now, the silence is palpable, a testament to the passage of time and the fragility of life.
The initial shock of being the last one standing can be overwhelming. It's like standing in the aftermath of a storm, surrounded by the debris of what once was. The weight of solitude presses down, suffocating almost, as you realize you're the sole survivor, left to grapple with the memories of those who are now just ghosts of the past.
For an elderly person nearing the end of their journey, this understanding can bring a sense of peace and fulfillment. It allows them to focus less on what they've acquired or achieved and more on how they've made a difference in the lives of others. It's about the love shared with family and friends, the wisdom imparted to future generations, and the acts of kindness that ripple outwards, creating a legacy of compassion and generosity.
In the final chapter of life, there's a quiet acceptance that what truly matters is not the length of time we've been given, but how we've lived and loved during our time here. It's a reminder to cherish each moment, to live authentically, and to leave behind a legacy of love, kindness, and empathy that will continue to inspire others long after we're gone.
I have spent many years writing poems and song lyrics, and over time, I’ve accumulated a collection of heartfelt works. My goal was to bring these pieces together in a book, and the result is "Paradise Rising". This book will be a tribute to the friends and family members who are no longer with us, honoring their memories and the impact they had on my life.

AND IN THE END
And in the end,
When I’m gone,
There will be those who are sad,
And a host of others who will be mad,
And I suspect there will be tons of tears,
With lots of drops over several years,
And in the end,
I will know how blessed I have been to have lived,
The promise of love,
And the pleasure to give,
And in the end,
I will know the importance of being kind,
And the value of everything that I am leaving behind,
But in the end,
Above all I will know,
I will not be given the choice whether to stay or to go ...
